The Joye Cottage Foundation was established in 1991 by Gregory White Smith and Steven Naifeh to promote education in music and the visual arts. In 2008, the Foundation helped to launch the Julliard in Aiken festival (now Joye in Aiken), which showcases the talents of young musicians from around the world and offers a robust program of outreach into schools throughout the Aiken area. In addition to its education efforts, the Joye Cottage Foundation maintains a large collection of precious artworks and also lends and donates significant works to museums nationwide. Below are selections from the Joye Cottage Foundation collection and from the collection of Gregory White Smith and Steven Naifeh.
